Emotions are how an individual reacts to a stimuli in the environment. These are phsycal as majority of emotions can be interpreted using facial expressions, body movement and vocabulary. They can be boiled down to universal level because most people show emotion as in quite similar ways. Emotions are public. Feelings on the other hand are private. They are the after math of an emotion. They take place in the mind and cannot be interpreted unless explained by the person experiencing that feeling. Feelings are not universal as they vary from one person to another.

Good start, but what do you think, do you agree with Damasio that emotions come before feelings? Explain why or why not. What is your take on what Damasio means by his statement that feeling is not a passive process?

yes emotions come before feelings. This is because emotions are physical and are triggered through senses in the human body. Feelings are a result of the physically demonstrated emotions, that happen in the mind. Feelings are a passive process.
