Damasio believes that decision making is factored by : the interpretation of facts in the given situation, how we choose to solve the situation, and lastly the real and emotional results of the decision.
For example, a decision that we make when we are upset at someone, particularly in this situation, your bestfriend. Because you are upset, you will perceive their behaviour differently than what is actually happening. For example, they could laugh at something you say and since you are upset, you will perceive the laughter as something else and become more upset. This will cause the situation to become more negative causing a breakdown of a real and emotional relationship
Real: the change in relationship/ dynamics
Emotional: Love decreases
