In his 6th chapter Butt discusses interpretive understanding for PTSD. This has both advantages and disadvantages. On the pro side this viewpoint that emphasizes on the systemic aspect enhances agency and thus a balancing of the way we interact with the world. On the other hand it raises the debate whether it is a bodily or mental issue.
