I've used the placebo effect many times in my recent years to stay up at night. When I have a test, exam or assignment due the next day that I know I must complete and I'm short on time, the only way to get everything done is if I stay up. Even though I get exhausted after a certain period of time, I've been able to go to school the next day with 0 hours of sleep and do work just because I forced myself and believed that I can still stay awake. I truly believed my body could function without sleeping and was able to push myself to finish studying for my test. In this case the placebo effect takes places because I was able to convince myself that I did not need sleep and my body physically responded to this.

Hi Hash,
Nice Explanation. I like your example. I would suggest, for future topics and exam provide a definition of the concept such as " Placebo Effect", then provide explanation, and finally finish it off with an example. So in here, you have a good amount of information on Example but less/no information on the definition of the concept.
Other than this, good job.
Sincerely, Ali
