I found the Little Albert experiment conducted by Watson very thought provoking as it described the association between fears. In this experiment, Albert was exposed to a rat which he was not initially afraid of; however, the fear of the rat was created when it was associated with the fear of the loud noise. Ultimately, this is an example of classical conditioning, where two stimuli are connected. This experiment is imperative because, as we learned in the lecture, we're not naturally afraid of many things (there is a "clean slate"), however, the few things we are afraid of get conditioned with other things and then, we fear those things as well.
