Behavourists focus on individual response to the environment, an action resulting in reward will be repeated and an action that results in punishment will not be repeated. Vygotsky suggests that individuals don’t experience the same environment in the same way, and when placed in a social situation the group can solve problems that otherwise couldn’t be solved by the individuals alone.
