Conversion is the act of changing ones mind or thought process when a particular topic is concerned. For example a smoker changes his belief system as it relates to smoking thus leading to a change his behaviour where smoking is concerned. Compliance is the process of changing your behaviour to reflect the behaviour of the group on a whole so as to prevent rejection from the group. A situation where compliance was the state of being was during high school after becoming a part of a group of friends I would go to purchase bbq chicken patties in the morning with the group simply because it is something that everyone was participating in endnote because I was hungry. A situation in which conversion was a state in during a argument ( conversation with opposing view) with my husband where in he highlighted that I should have sought out clarity from him versus the opinions of other if his message offended me. I changed my mind about how to handle situations of that nature because his points were valid and offered supporting evidence as to why it would be the best approach.
