The differences between a “body state” vs a “body map” is differentiated in this week’s readings. Body state refers to the physical conditions based off how the body feels. A prime example of this is getting goosebumps when one feels cold. Another example is sweating when the body feels hot. However, body map refers to the emotional state endured when your body is triggered. An example of this is when one is feeling fear, the brain changes their breathing rate and blood pressure.
