Body state- the physical state, the particular condition that one's body is in the particular time= for example, when someone is scared, they may begin to experience an elevated heart beat, sweat etc Body map- a map of what is happening in the biology (body) produced by the body sensing regions; this is where feelings are experiences through- human emotions are primarily cognitive interpretations of bodily states. - for example, body mapping is the perceived states that the body goes through in a particular situation that is now stored and will likely occur again. So for example, when a person is scared again, the body will know to sweat and cause an elevated heart rate. This is because the feelings and emotions get linked to areas in the brain where memory is stored. Feelings thus arise as a reaction to our body maps.
