"I continually procrastinate on really important school assignments; I always delay, delay, delay until the very last minute."
Behaviorist Approach: The behaviorist examines the physical behaviors and habits of an individual and determines the extent of the psychological disease. For example, one would observe general laziness, lethargy, lack of motivation, etc. This would lead the psychologist to assume the person procrastinates.
Social Constructionist: The Social constructionist examines the external environment and of how it molds the behavior. For example, is the family lazy and procrastinate, do close friends exhibit procrastination, does the school environment facilitate motivation?
The difference between the two is one analyzes behavior/the physical action while the social constructionist attempts to discover what causes the behavior.
