Individuals in the society can be seen as puppets and are still able to have agency in everyday life. Humans are seen as puppets when they follow norms that are not specifically written down in the society. For example, while walking along the busy side walks in downtown, one can has the free will to either choose to stop or keep moving while others are finding heir way to their different destinations. Free agency can be exercised but we follow the unwritten norm of not stopping in the middle of the side walk and obstruct others from moving.
