The Repertory grid technique exercise revealed that the constructs I tend to judge/analyze people with are mainly observable traits - mainly whether they are sociable/reserved, extroverted/introverted, and fashionable/non-fashionable. This makes sense given that for me, I tend to analyze people based on things that I can see, and from that, I then determine who they really are by getting to know them. This contrasted greatly to the person beside me who's constructs were more internal traits such as funny/non-funny, artsy/non-artsy, etc. I think Butt would think that the differences between our constructs has to do with how we perceive people and our world - what is important or meaningful to us determines what lens we see and shape our world to be; finding subjective truth to each person as opposed to an objective truth for all

Hi,
I like all the explanation and examples you have provided. Could you elaborate more on Butts position on how we perceive the world or regarding the constructs we have and how they are formed.
Thanks Ali
