Understanding "decentered self makes history", means to me that the world in its social and psychological aspects that holds that there is no single way to read an event or institution of text. Therefore, a decentered self is a person who can take on multiple views and understand that there is more than one way to perceive something. It can also be understood as people who make history are decentered but they face circumstances because they accept multiple views which conflict others.
