Reliable has a direct correlation with consistency. But it is important to note that consistency does not translate to accuracy (or validity in this case). When examine the case where a person is in the bathroom measuring their weight, if the scale reads “145 lb” multiple time and you are “130lb.” then the validity aspect of the outcome is rejected. However if the scale read “145 lb.” but then showed “200 lb.” in the second attempt then it is valid but not reliable.
