When I was in China, I went a strict boarding middle school. The courses are all arranged and everyone was studying the same subject and doing the same homework. Every part of our time was stipulated on all fours, wake up, lunch, dinner and self-study at night on time. I had a low degree of freedom on my life. After I came to Canada, the high school policy is way different from Chinese school. I have to manage my time and consider which course should i take all by myself, and I got a lot of leisure times. Even tough I have a higher degree of freedom, I became anxious, agitated and felt a little bit insecure. I think its's because I have been deeply dominated by Chinese traditional educations concept(I have to only focus on study and have no right to do anything else, and have leisure time). Despite, even though I have more freedom, I still strictly manage my time and finish daily work on time, or I will fell guilty.
