The study of twins allowed psychologists to see modes of behavior that were triggered by biological factors versus psychological. Twins behave differently although they are made of the same genes scheme. Although genes can determine certain factors ( diabetes for example ), the way a person behaves is contributed by nurture. Environmental factors, institutions etc all contribute to the way a person will behave/ play a role in society. The study of twins proves that nurture and nature both play an equal role, and that reductionism does not exist in psychology.
