Harlow raised monkeys in the presence of wired mothers, one providing food and the other protection and comfort. the behaviorist believed that the monkey would run to the wired mother since it provided food for him, and according to behaviorist theory food forms an attachment and it is through feeding that the infant forms a bond with their mother.However the actual results were damaging since every time the monkey was frightened it ran to the wired mother for security and comfort and also that they rule out the mind as having any infiuence on behaviour
