The main method of personality assessment that indicates what factors might limit its validity would be number 1 in my opinion. I feel like there are a lot of different factors that can limit the validation with this method. Lying is one of the main factors. Lying has a huge role because you know yourself better than anyone else. You want yourself to seem perfect and maybe not your true self. Telling a few lies to make yourself seem better is what some people may do just so nobody thinks negative of themselves.
But then there is one main method that I agree with which is number 2. Not like number 1, where one can lie and get away with some information about yourself, family and friends wouldn't do that, especially family members. Family members and friends know you so well and know almost everything that you do. I know personally with my family, my parents and sister would tell the truth about me and even if they have to explain something negative about me, they still would. They don't care about hiding something and instead would say the truth just so I can learn from the negatives that I may do in my life that can affect me emotionally, physically or mentally.

Do you think family members may lie as well because if you look good they look good?
