Some topics I expect to hear about in our psychology course are mental disorders, the cause of them, and what psychologists are currently doing to help people that have them. I expect to study the basics of human behaviour and the human brain, including how the brain responds under stress, how we understand languages and how memory works.
One of the things I am most interested in learning more about is emotional reaction and how these emotions affect decision-making, as well as the person themselves in the long run. I would like to study why certain events or topics cause reactions that differ completely from one person to another, while other subjects cause collective reactions. There are also other areas I'm curious about like, what makes up the qualities of a "normal" person in comparison to an "unnormal" or "unusual" person, and how that is determined, as every person's mind thinks and responds to everything differently.
